His name, for anyone interested, is Andrew Hitz. He is a grad of Northwestern (Rex Martin) and has also worked with Pilafian and others. In a few words, Andrew plays at a very high level,and is one of those types who likes to explore the possibilities of the instrument. I remember that at NU he was (along with another tubist Michael Parker) an avid fan of the group Phish, and both guys were looking to play with that sort of creative drive. He is worth hearing and as far as sounding like a sousaphone; I doubt it... but maybe that was his intention...;)
