The tuba was acquired by the seller with a King upright bell which had a tenon that was just a little bit too small for this Conn Grand Orchestral body's tenon.
The seller acquired this Conn bell and, though quite eyebrow-raising, did a really decent job converting it to an upright bell with the given resources. I've seen it. The bell is solid, and the instrument plays well.
I would think the facets could easily be ironed out with a Ferree's dent machine.
