Well, what I learned from having tubas sent to me was that I needed a rotary for ergonomic reasons. Cost me a couple hundred in shipping...but then the next one sent was a rotary, I loved it, bought it, and am playing it in brass band. I knew when I wanted a CC to get a rotary too, and I'd even like a rotary euph if I could find one used.
