Even going back to the old Yorks--the 4/4 and 5/4 share the same 0.750 bore. There's more labor in the bigger horns--just think about buffing a 6/4, compared with a 4/4 (my aching back!).
And the 4/4 horns tend to be more popular than the big boys, so there's less of a market for the large ones.
