I'm playing on one right now and I am not very happy with it. My only real concern with it is the low registar. Anything below an E flat just below the staff is very difficult to play in tune or even at all. On the other hand, the high range seems pretty good, both ease of notes and tone, intonation is not bad in that range. Also, the one I'm playing on is not in the greatest shape and I've heard the old ones (25 years or so) are supposed to be great horns and have a much better low range. I guess I could just say what everyone else says and say that you need to test the particular horn that you are questioning.
