Your post is very good, and I agree with your sentiments and advice. It was nice of you to take the time to send it.
I would differ with you (just a little) about factors that relate to economic reality. In addition to our "dream", we do need to prepare ourselves to "earn our keep" (as my grandfather was fond of saying). This is especially true if we have a wife and children. I don't mean to sound pontifical, and hope I haven't misinterpreted part of your message.
