Iam just starting to play again after a medical absence and my opinion is this...
A POX ON THOSE WHO WOULD POO-POO THE USE OF A GOOD BBb FOR ALL PERFORMANCES,
BBb is where it starts from, it has the largest range of any of the family and a nice dark colour. Sure the top end of the range may be a squueeze to get out but so what most music I've seen rarely gets up to those lofty hieights anyway. Just do what i do play down an octave if you can't get there :-).
If what you've got works for you and YOU like it then stuff the "key" nazis who don't want you to play with them you're better off without people like that in your life.
