One suggestion I've heard, which I try to use regularly, is to play scales, returning to the 'do' pitch between each other note. Like this: DO RE DO MI DO FA DO SO DO LA DO TI DO DO. For the F scale, that would be: FF GG FF AA FF Bb FF C FF D FF EE F FF...where 'FF' is on the fourth leger line below the bass clef staff, and 'F' is the space just below the bottom line of the bass clef staff. If I'm feeling especially brave, I'll go two octaves.
