Nope!

There is an actual "Sonata for Tuba and Piano" by Frackenpohl. It is listed as a grade 5 in the TUBA SOURCE BOOK. It doesn't have any range problems, and works well on Contrabass tuba. It contains the lyrical melodic material that we are accustomed when playing Frackenpohl's music. The second (slow) movement is based mostly on pentatonic scales. The first and third movement are the faster. The third movement contains the most rhythmic activity and is written in 6/8 time. I like the piece and it is very accessable. One of the main reasons (in my opinion) that it is ranked as a grade 5 is its length and musical scope. In other words, it is a very long and musically developed piece.

Sorry, I don't know who the publisher is off the top of my head.
"Kendor" rings a bell, but I will let someone else clear that up.

BTW: It was written for Harvey Phillips.

Good Luck!
