I prefer the larger HB-12 to the HB-10 myself. The smaller Hirsbrunner piston F's I have played have had some weird intonation challenges and the HB-12 has a great sound to it, if you like the Hirsbrunner sound.
The MW 45slp is a great piston F. If you didn't feel it resonated the way you expected, it might be a mouthpiece selection issue or you may have had a bum horn. The times I have heard it utilized, there was plenty of sound on hand. The price of the Meinl compared to the Hirsbrunner, Willson, and Yamaha lines makes it very appealing also.
