It's interesting to read your note about playing a Rudolf Meinl. I bought mine in 1987 strait from the shop in Diespeck. I had 4 horns to choose from in the 5/4 CC and picked the best as far as I knew back then. I also have a 4/4 CC that I don't play often enough. I was playing in an army band when I bought my 5/4 and wanted something that would have a massive rich sound. I never regretted it. This is my fifth (or is it sixth) season with the Kingston Symphony and still appreciate the nice big sound. We're doing the Elgar Enigma Variation and the Dvorak cello concerto this week and I'm glad I have this horn. It's nice to have the choice of horns -I have played some concerts with a recently acquired King 2341 older Bb namely Walton's Belshazzar's Feast. I still consider my 5/4 as my best axe. SG
