One will give it a bigger, deeper sound with more fundamental at the possible expense of quick response; the other will give a tighter, brighter sound with quicker response at the possible expense of darkness & depth.
Basically, a different leadpipe will change how the entire horn seems to play, and it will affect the sound the listener hears just as much. It can make at least as much of a difference as different mpc's, IMO.
Physical differences? I can't say for sure since I've never built a leadpipe of any kind. I'd guess that one will flare more quickly and the other will taper more gradually.
