Maybe you should just quit. I know a guy who quit tuba at a very promising point in his playing for construction work and he loves it. If you don't love it then you atleast have to have some sort of passion or intense drive with it or you're wasting your time. For instance I don't love it but I have a very, very strong drive to improve. The tuba is no glorious thing. Go where real money is.
