I have one of those 3/4 Yamahas. It's an F, and I hope my observations of playing it apply to the CC as well. (The 621 BBb was a disappointment to me when I tried one out--too stuffy--but the CC version felt similar to my F.)

I love my new York, and I'm getting a real kick out of playing it. But I'd never dream of bringing it to a small ensemble. The Yamaha is so much more fun to play in a quintet. It has a brighter tone that fits better with the quintet sound, it has clarity and agility and a "present" sound that fits with the literature, and I'm much more accurate and realiable while playing it compared to the big horns.

If the Weril CC is anything like the YCB 621 that I played, it has to be the deal of the decade for a quintet player.
