Yeah, but I bought it used - at a tuba sale. Have put a couple of bucks into it over the years since. The 1st valve top bow was not movable on the 1241's so could not be used to tune while playing. I copied the 2341 and changed that. The 3rd valve top bow had a water catching loop in it, too. Ordered 2341 3rd valve parts and straightened that out. The King engineers calimed it couldn't be done, but it was pretty easy to have done with the right parts.
I suspect that the 1241's - or at least the 1240's used the valve section straight out of a King Sousaphone, which explains the weird configuration for the 3rd valve.
