These horns were substantially different, probably even mostly different mandrels.

The 34J had 4 front action "long" piston valves and a 23" upright, non-detachable bell.

The 25J had 4 top action "short" piston valves. Its upright bell was detachable. (if it had a recording bell, it would be a 24J).

The branches wrapped substantially differently.
