Not all that obscure, and not really hard to find, but I really enjoy the Vagn Holmboe works for brass, as well as his symphonies.
Also, to cross over to the tabu area of band recordings, the early 70s recordings of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Ensemble have some INCREDIBLE brass players(the trombone section on the Robert Jager/Kosei CD is unmatched by any recording I own, wind band or orchestral, IMHO).
