The first song that comes to my mind is the Navy Hymn. It's always moved me. Also, "With Quiet Courage", by Larry Daehn. I believe it was written in memory of his mother. "Old Man", by Randy Newman, is also touching. This song was also sung beautifully by Art Garfunkel.
