Here are three, all for different reasons.
Brent Dutton - My first and only tuba teacher as an undergraduate (while doing a degree in bass trombone). He planted a sound concept and an agressive attitude in me that made me the player I am today.
Phil Sinder at Michigan State (while I was doing 2 degrees in composition). What a sound!!! One of the best guys in the world!!!
Jeff Jarvis (now at East Carolina) who played in the orchestra section with me at Michigan State.
As a doubler, these three always were always surrounding me with around great tuba playing. As the years pass and I play more and more tuba, the sound concept that they put in my head is the most valuable thing anyone can have.
Thanks Guys!!!
