Can someone tell me why Bach switches between tenor and bass clef in the last few of the suites? What purpose does this serve? Should this be interpreted stylistically, or is this just plain clef changing?

Also, their are bow marks throughout the cello suites. Can anyone tell me what this means in terms of a cello, and how these markings should be interpretted for playing on a tuba.

(The Uber Bass Astonisher!!!)

Also, does anyone out their have a copy of Werner Icking's online publication of The six cello suites. If so, do you have a translation of the first few pages which are written in German? ( they are something like program notes i think)

Also, how do i tell the difference between slur markings and phrase markings. They look the same to me.

And finally, in the Werner Icking edition, Suite I, prelude from the 33rd measure on has strange double stemmed notes (ones stem up, other down, both on same note) What does this mean? Anything? Nothing?

Thanks for your time
