One thing I find that makes me more apt to practice is just simply having the horn out in a very accessible spot, easily picked up and tooted upon. I used to keep it in a gig bag in the corner of my room which was often difficult to get to but if I had it somewhere in the middle of the room with mouthpiece already installed I would pick it up just about every time I passed it and make a little music. You get breaks in between which are helpful depending on what you are practicing! Give it a try and you'll find yourself playing a lot more.
