I think an important first question is: What percent of the general population gets Dystonia, and what percent of the musician population gets it? You could even break it down by location (fingers, chops, etc.) and instrument played to see if there is any correlation. I don't know if this has ever been done, but there is a great Ph.D. dissertation to be done here by someone interested in Performing Arts medicine.
