Learn to play GREAT on what you have. It's not like you're trying to play professionally on a YBB 201. Five years from now, if you feel the horn is still impeding the process, then start looking around for something new. A big part of the process is putting in the miles on the same equipment, and not changing every time the honeymoon is over with a certain combination. I made the most significant strides in my playing when I stopped playing the most popular horn of the day with the biggest mouthpiece available, stopped trying to sound like everybody else, and played like ME, on a horn that allowed ME to achieve that sound in the most relaxed and comfortable way.
