Searcehed the archives and didn't come up with much info.
I am a first year middle school band director (tuba is my primary instrumet). Upon arrival at my school I almost wanted to cry. The only equipment there were 6 (french) horns, 2 tenor sax, 1 bass clarinet, 1 snare, 1 bass drum (warped)1 set of bells and one 3/4 Bb that is not playable. I spoke with one of my band director friends in the area......okay, I was begging for tubas. The only thing she had was 2 DEG Caravelle 3/4 Bb horns that she is not using. One is in decent shape the other has damage to the leadpipe.
What are these things? Are they convertible tubas? I notice that the lead pipes (as well as the bells) are removeable.
