Anyone test played the new King contra? ("bazooka configuration") I saw the Phntom Regiment using them and I hit the King booth to have a look and I got to hold it, but couldn't test play it. Just holding the sucker was awkward, it's horribly designed in that respect. The leadpipe is way too low and the fourth valve is on the opposite side for use with the left hand. (but not as a compensating config.) All in all I think King forgot the lessons they learned in the 70's with the K-90 in key of G. But I guess they designed for sound over ergonomics, so any input anyone has about that aspect of the horn would be much appreciated.
