From discussions and reading of opinions on the essential elements of daily practice I come across so many "essential" daily aspects to touch on that just hitting these "essentials" could easily consume 4 hours by themselves. It is apparent that priorities vary from person to person as to how to best maintain and grow both technically and artistically. Examples are long tones, scales, arpeggios, standard audition rep, solos, sight reading, solfege, score study, multiple tonguing, melodic interpretation, .....
In your daily routine of practice, what is both daily AND routinely rehearsed? What do you consider essential daily?
