Joe, you've led such a sheltered life! I've got dozens of recordings of this guy; right now I'm listening to a CD of the Solomon Trio playing the Arensky D minor piano trio and I can hear him not playing his tuba very masterfully! His sense of phrasing and intonation is just awesome.
BTW, has anyone seen/heard any Clapper commercials this Yuletide? I kind of miss them as the inevitable accompaniment to the Chia pet spots...
