The other day I was servicing (Yes, I had to lap the rotors to the casing.) the used St Pete 201N we had at Dillon Music. So before it was shipped out, I saw a chance to learn something new and checked out the tubing. Contrary to the .840 bore claim, I consistently measured .828" for a bore of the inner slide tubing. If you improperly pull as hard as you can on the calipers, the tubing would show up something like .840" So to make sure of my findings, I tried the 2nd valve slide inside a piece of 22mm nickel silver tubing from Meinl Weston. It was a great fit! The Germans make it so that 21mm tubing fits in 22mm tubing. By the way, 21mm is .828"!! So you St Pete buyers lucked out in that you can get some solid Nickel Silver tubng for your horns.
