I know that the first version you've typed is the correct on (T,b3,4,b5,5,b7,T). If the other scale is reffered to as the bebop scale than that's probably all it is. Maybe the Boppers came up with an alternate scale set or an alternate form of blues to use that scale with. In any case, the upper example is the correct blues scale.
