I don't really think that making you play the school's Yamaha BBb on the basis of appearance makes a lot of sense. I bet you will see some really great bands there, most of whom will have a mix of different colored trumpets, bones, and tubas as well. When a band playing on all different looking CC's plays the stew out of college-level literature, your director may think a bit differently. But until then, have a private teacher or parent call and ask why your $4500 (or more) is not good enough for your band. Do you all wear the same kinds of shoes too?
