I sure didn't mean to start a new 'generation gap' (haven't heard THAT term in a long time!) I tried to clarify, in my response to Tim below, that the problem is loud noise, not age. The young, the old, and those somewhere between are all represented by a goodly share of klinkers; but the young, AS A RULE, are more likely to suffer the PARTICULAR flaw of trying to shoot a lung through the bell. They are also more likely to carry sousas, which greatly amplify the problem. (I just came up with a new term for this: "sousabuse". What do you guys think?) But even among the young, I would not say that they are the norm.
