My beef with Finale is their marketing plan. I occasionally cave in to an update, only to be baraged with more updates, with more, much better features, before I have the latest one paid for. They get you coming and going, with $100 every few months. Phooey on that. I think they spread out the improvements over time on purpose, to make you buy as many updates as possible. If I used Finale to make a living, I might not protest so loudly, but I only use it occasionally and find the constant expensive updating unattractive.
