I know this has been debated ad nauseum here, but I rarely come here. I can buy a new tuba. Is there really an advantage to a CC? Why do most pros play CCs? I have played for 30 years and no teacher or band director said, "here, you need to learn this". Mostly is what I would gain in articulation offset by the lack of dexterity I would encounter for a long while, with a new set of fingerings? Thank You.
