"So just play Euph!" you shout! Well, I would but cannot play on a Euph-sized mouthpiece unfortunately.
I'm thinking of the Yam 621 (F obviously!) as my immediate choice. A compact, direct sound is just fine but I would very much like an 'easy' low register. This turns me off the MW 182 somewhat but I haven't played one at this stage (I also lean toward Pistons over rotors a little). Price is obviously a factor also...
I've played mostly Besson Eb as a bass tuba but don't find they offer what I'm looking for.
What would others suggest in my circumstances?
I'm simply pooling folks suggestions at this point; not looking to make a purchase without some trying first! : )
