I do a fair amount of solo competition and only in recent years have been made aware of something that helps me with my nerves, or performance anxiety as some know it.
I paid a visit to my local Doctor and was given a prescription for "Beta blockers".
They work for me!!
I am not a medico, so I am not going into any technical reasons for why they work, but a quick visit to any search engine will bring up a host of information for you to make your own judgement.
