Hetman makes an aerosol cleaner for valves and slides that is a bit stinky, but it does
clean just about everything off (and out of) valves and casings (including gummed up
synthetic/non-synthetic mixtures), and doesn't hurt lacquer. It's called Brass-Brite Aerosol Degreaser, and Brasswind carries it. By the way, be sure to clean out the valve slides, while you are cleaning the valves and casings, because quite a bit of valve oil seems to migrate into the tubes (and probably migrates back to the valves, in time).
If you are asking about a tuba recently shipped from Berkeley, it had Al Cass in it.
