Anybody heard one of these recordings, esp the one featuring Satchmo? Rich (on helicon) plays unbelievably fluid bass lines, and his solos are equally hip. Questions: is the aforementioned recording avail on CD, and is it "the norm" to play 4-beat bass lines as often as Rich did on this recording, or is it just something he got away w/because he rocked?
