I've been reading the past messages about polishing a horn with lemon pledge, and other cleaners like that, and in one of the messages someone said that lemon pledge will eventually cause the laquer to peel off. Is this true??!? I've been cleaning the school's tubas with this, and i'd hate for it to be damaging the horn, instead of making it look better. Also, people said that you should spray the cleaner on your cloth first, not straight onto the horn, will spraying onto the horn damage it?
One last question, is there any certain recomended cloth to use for wiping the horn with, or will just any old, (clean) cloth work?
