I use Finale 2001 daily. MIDIScan is, at this juncture, imperfect at best. It ONLY reads single-line parts...so only solos and etudes for now. But, if your manuscript is inhumanly good, you can scan in hand-written parts, again, with a lot of misreads. It is a great idea, and can only get better. But it will not do what you want it to do.

MicNotater (the clip-on microphone that lets one play parts directly into the computer) SUCKS on the tuba. Horn and trumpet work better, but not much. Again, it is a great idea that will improve with time (I hope...).
