Did you buy the MW 2141 Eb? What are your impressions about the intonation of this tuba? The one I tried a few years back at Brasswind had some significant issues with intonation, so I bought the Besson 983, which I like except for the compensating low register (which I don't like). I've also heard other reports of folks who love their 2141, and who have only had to trim two of the tuning slides and then only need to use a few alternate fingerings for good intonation! I still don't think that's an acceptable level of quality, for me. Are you happy with yours?
