Wait till you know what college you're gonna go to and then ask their tuba teacher BEFORE you buy. You should do this in the spring before you go to that school so you have time to get used to it. It would really suck if you bought a horn, got used to it, and then found out that your teacher hates it and won't let you use it because you bought a horn in the 'wrong' key or you bought a rotor valve when he wants his students to have piston valve an' stuff like that.
