I use Anhydrous Lanolin on the horns I use Blue Juice on. I don't use Blue Juice on my piston tubas because I've found the synthetics work better for me (Hetman's). I do use Blue Juice on my rotary valved instruments with great success. I've been told to use compatible slide grease and valve oil so I use the Lanolin with the Blue Juice which is also petroleum based. For me, the Lanolin lasts forever, is very smooth, and it doesn't take much to get good results. I'm still using the tub of Lanolin I purchased while in college.
