I respect your opinion and your shop's skill as repairmen, but here is the reason why I find the dent eraser to be a useful tool.
If I get a dent in a spot the is not reachable by without taking apart the horn, I would rather have a shop do a magnet job on it than take it apart and ruin the lacquer. You may have the skill to remove a lacquered bow, and blend the lacquer back in so it looks right, but I've never seen a repairman around Dallas that can come close. So instead of making the choice of having a dent or burning your lacquer, the dent eraser gives you the ability to get the dent out, most of the time quite nicely, without the hassle or
$$$ of taking the horn apart.
