The Rudolf Meinl 3/4 CC (and 3/4 BBb) are, IMHO as well as many others, the best choice for a 3/4 tuba. They have an amazing sound, great projection, and can handle solo, quintet, and ensemble settings equally as well. They are handmade/hand-finished insturments also. I don't believe there is another 3/4 tuba that is in its league. It is more rock solid than any other. I believe that's true of all Rudys. I don't dislike other brands. I've owned other brands, but if I were looking for a 3/4 instrument, or an all-around tuba, the Rudy 3/4 is heads and shoulders above the rest. You would be hard pressed to find a better 3/4 instrument. Ask Lee Stofer, or some of the other Rudy owners on this BBS.
Did I mention that I like Rudy 3/4 tubas...?
