I've just seen a 5rv Eb horn on the net and it's the first of its type I've come across - it's a HB by the way.
So, what is/are the instrument/s of choice if one is looking for an Eb leaning toward German characteristics (5 or 6rv with not-so-fast tapers etc.)??
I know Willson make a rotary Eb but believe it's a 4v (could be wrong and they may add a 5th on request?) and 'probably' sounds a little more tubby than I'd like. I also know the PT-10P is listed as having Eb slides available but does that (nearly) fit the bill?
Are these instruments at all common?
