I really never thought Joe was attacking Tony, but he did ask how his (or maybe it was all of us in retrospect) low range stacked up to Marty's. I just wanted Joe to know that Tony is a very competent musician. No more than that.
I think your introspective views on your playing are refreshing. I wish everyone knew their capabilites as well as you seem to. I am sure are being more than modest as well. As a conductor, I would greatly appreciate your approach. I also think it is interesting how opinions change over time regarding things like this subject. I know mine have!
