I ask because some of these horns do have a larger 5th than 1st. So...open 5th, less open 1st (here is the "venturi" so to speak) and so on. The typical low C in Germany (I've been told..) is fingered 512 (I've somewhat adopted this). With some horns this is more effective than on others (seems to be less stable). I'd be curious to hear how you like this fingering on your new baby. I know you've stated that you are healed of the low C disease, but it never hurts to have another trick in the bag, Felix (Righty-o...)
