What is the deal with the Kalison 2001 CC and F tubas? I played on a really nice Pro 2000 years ago. I was told that it was an unusual specimen in that it had a nice sound and a good scale.
Is this true?
Then I have heard that the 2001 was much better. Is it really a 6/4 like the 2000? Why are these tubas not more popular? Does that little shop in NC have anything to do with the low popularity?
And what is with the positioning of the pistons in the cluster? Do they only fit the hands of small Italian children as the photo makes me think?
