I am thinking of changing to a 3/4 size tuba from a larger horn for physical reasons. Does anyone have thoughts on the MW 18 as a candidate? In general, what differences in playing characteristics are there between 4/4 and 3/4 horns? Ease of playing, diminished range, depth of tone, etc? I suspect these may be more a function of the player and the specific horn than the generic size difference.
