1. I think that the BBb tuba is about 18 feet, the CC is 16 feet, Eb is about 13-14 long, and the F is around 12 feet. I am not certain what the Eb tuba's tube length is to be honest but it seemed to be about right.
2. You're on you own as far as the list of things to listen for in a good sound.
